There is a teen facility, something for the younger kids and then there’s always the day spa and fitness center for the adults. Nightlife and activities do not stop in the multiple of lounges ready for your enjoyment. A marketplace, cafĂ©, coffee bar and deli dot the foodscapes onboard. There’s even a theater onboard. Excellent. The staff did all they could to keep us , entertained, comfortable and informed.
I was a little disappointed with this ship. The room was much smaller than any other ship I have been on. Some of the staff were rude and not very friendly. Our waiters and room steward were great. The guy in the tobacco shop was rude, some staff in the bar areas acted like they were miserable. I was shocked to see a filet in the main dining area was an additional 14.95.
I would expect this in a cover charge restaurant, but not the main dining room. My suggestion would be to just remove it all together if it is not included as a dinner choice. I have been on several cruise ships so maybe my expectations were higher than this ships standards but this was the first trip for 5 of my family members so I was a little embarrased after I had told them what to expect.
Also I am scheduled to go on this same cruise ship again in March with a big group. I have already told our Team Leader to make some phone calls and ask some questions or rethink His choice of ships. Don’t get me wrong, overall we had a good time and if this is someones first cruise, it will probably be okay; however for someone who has cruised before, they may want to lower their standard for this ship as an overall rating.
The ships in the past was Norweign and Disney both ships included a filet at dinner as a choice on the menu. Also, Disney had soda included in their price which I think it should be. The tea on this ship was horrible. it taste like instant; however I am from North Carolina, our tea is always brewed and sweet. There were also some problems with the sewer system. In our room and my sons room the toilet stopped up. It was taking care of timely.
This ship is an older ship but I thought the pool furniture and some other areas were quite worn. Overall, I would not rebook a trip on this ship. The trip already booked for this ship is by a company we do business with and is bring around 26 guest. I hope our Team leader picks a different ship.
The food was also somewhat tasteless. Most of the desserts in the windjammer were stale, hard and had no taste. We also sent back some appitizers at dinner that were stale. Overall, I was dissappointed in the food.
