Opened in the summer of 2000, Cocobay Resort is Antigua’s newest retreat. This hotel is a wonderful place for a relaxing vacation. It has beautiful plantation style furnishings and great ocean views.
Imagine a plantation style cottage located on a hillside, overlooking white beaches with blue green waters. You can take a dip in the horizon pool or relax in a comfortable hammock. You might choose to go sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, or take a scuba diving lesson or go on a hike.
Visit the capital city St John’s quayside duty free shops then visit the city’s historic attraction, Nelson’s Dockyard. Take a guided tour with the Local Medicine Man, or try some natural therapy at the wellness cottage.
Fine Dining is available at its two restaurants.
The Main Restaurant has ocean views and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. A variety of local and international dishes are served daily. The Sheer, located on the western edge of the bluff at Cocobay with its breathtaking views is not part of the all-inclusive rate. Open only five days a week, the restaurant has six open air pavilions connected by wooden decks and walkways overlooking Little Fryes Beach and is open to the general public. Booking is required and there is a dress code.
The Cocobay Resort has 41 guest rooms with sea view. Child policy does not allow children less than 12 years except during Christmas and New Year (December 19 through January 6). Most rooms come with king sized or twin beds. Maximum occupancy is 4 adults in the Plantation House and for the rest of the styles 3 adults.

Cocobay Resort in Antigua is a fabulous place for a holiday. The resort only accommodates about 80 couples, no children. A very relaxing vacation, with two bays which you can often be the only ones on the beach. Wooden huts with tin roofs are your accommodation. All huts have verandas and most have sea views. The food and drink is fantastic and plentyful. Going back in June 2009 with friends who have been three times already. A day trip into the capital St Johns is a must, as is a boat trip to Barbuda.
