Carnival Legend Honeymooners from Canada (November 2009).
Unbelievable honeymoon! 15 points out of 10!

You know those negative reviews people write that tend to freak you out (like they did to me), I don't believe any of it. I'm pretty sure they are written by people who simply can't be pleased with anything.

Here's why:
On the first night, we were very nervous when we left the Port of Tampa due to Hurricane Ida. I was sad because I figured our honeymoon was ruined. That night, the decks were closed due to the high winds, but there was so much onboard fun that no one seemed to notice. The Captain diverted us wonderfully, and we woke up to sunshine and PARADISE!

Ship: Breathtaking! VERY clean...and so beautiful. Like being in a museum for a week.
Motion sickness: (I usually get sick travelling). You will NOT know you're on a ship. We sailed around Hurricane Ida, and while it rocked a little due to the hurricane, I did not feel ill once. Otherwise, it doesn't feel like you're even moving.

Service: TOP notch! The hallway floor outside our stateroom was damp one night and the next morning, we had a message from customer service saying they had credited our account over $40 for the "inconvenience." We hardly noticed the water outside our room...and they gave us a random refund.

Food: Amazing, unlimited, LOTS of variety! Whatever you can think of, you can pretty much get. You feel like you're fine dining every night for dinner! My husband and I gained over 5 pounds each.

Entertainment: Excellent. Big jackpot Bingos, dancers, broadway style shows, something for everyone and something always going on! NEVER bored!

Rooms: Immaculately clean. You leave your room for 15 minutes, come back, and it was 'magically' cleaned! Lots of storage space. GET A BALCONY! SO worth the money! You can relax under the stars, or before dinner, or have your breakfast delivered to you in the morning to eat on your balcony. So relaxing!

Shore Excursions: Book with Carnival. Some people say to book on-shore with locals for cheaper, but we thought that it seemed a little sketchy. Carnival's guides seemed really knowledgable, they were safe, and lots of fun.

**Sign up for Caverns by Jeep and Beach Combo in Cozumel. (AWESOME EXPERIENCE - There is nothing in the world like swimming in a cool, refreshing, Mayan cave!)

Value for money: worth every penny! What priceless memories we have; with photos to prove it.

Only a couple of small complaints:
-Alcohol is not included: takes a toll on your wallet after a while if you're not careful.
-Line ups getting on the ship & getting off... pretty long waits. (1-2 hours). (But they're worth it).
-Outdoor pools on-board: small. BUT: if you do beach excursions, you get lots of ocean swimming!

OVERALL: FANTASTIC SHIP, FANTASTIC VACATION! Would NOT have chosen anything else for our honeymoon.

Put it this way: You're on a floating resort. You wake up every morning to a new tropical place to explore and enjoy... but your hotel never changes. If you want adventure, relaxation, exploration, and total down-time all mixed together.. A CRUISE IS FOR YOU!

Getting off the ship my husband and I said 'we just don't know how we're ever going to be able to do anything but a Carnival Cruise, it was so fantastic!'

The Blue Waters Hotel bar area in Antigua. This was taken during our honeymoon in August 2004. Beautiful hotel and hoping to go back there soon!

Cocobay Resort in Antigua is a fabulous place for a holiday. The resort only accommodates about 80 couples, no children. A very relaxing vacation, with two bays which you can often be the only ones on the beach. Wooden huts with tin roofs are your accommodation. All huts have verandas and most have sea views. The food and drink is fantastic and plentyful. Going back in June 2009 with friends who have been three times already. A day trip into the capital St Johns is a must, as is a boat trip to Barbuda.
